Even though the brewery has embraced new machinery and technology the good old fashion recipe has never been discarded.
The Town Walls - Rostock used to be fortified by walls, which have disappeared over time, save for some of the edges to the south and east of the town. There used to be ramparts outside the town which have been transformed into parks for public leisure. There was also a moat built around the town though it has also been rehabilitated with the park.
Kropeliner Tor - Kropeliner Tor is one of the 22 gates that were used to enter into Rostock. Kropeliner Tor was the most powerful of the 22 and still stands today to be an attraction for tourists. You will have to use the road from the train station in your car rental if you want to go right through the gate viewing its magnificence.
Petri Steeple - this is quite a tall building that has a good skyline view of Rostock. If you want to take a shoot with your camera, you will have to look for the perfect rectangular space in the window meshes to capture the still photo.
