Opened in 2000, La Romana International Airport is located on the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic. Its location is strategically quite magnificent. It is after all adjacent to the tourist town of La Romana and the resort of Casa de Campo. It is only 68 miles (110 km) away from the capital – Santa Domingo. The building itself is intriguing, since the only one terminal of the airport is built in the style of an old sugar mill.
