The metropolitan city of Lagos is the most populous city of Nigeria. It is basically a famous African port and due to its demographic and commercial importance it is one of the fastest growing city of Africa and also the seventh fastest growing city of the world. The city has developed on islands which were separated through creeks on the shores of Atlantic Ocean. Though, the is primarily a business centre with fast pace economy but with major tourist bound activities like EYO Carnival, it is rapidly attracting tourists of the world. It has lots of sandy beaches of Atlantic Ocean and few of the popular ones including the Lekki Beach and the Bar Beach. Lagos has good number of hotels for comfortable staying arrangements, including 3 stars and 5 stars hotel chains. Other important tourist places include, the Festac Town, The Remembrance Arcade, and The Tafawa Balewa Square etc. Murtala Muhammed International Airport connects Nigeria with the rest of the nation and the world. It is located approximately at a distance of 22 Km (13 miles) to the northwest of the central Lagos. There are two terminals used for the domestic and the international flights which are built at a walking distance only. There are ATM and money exchange facilities available on Airport. The executive lounge and VIP lounge provide complimentary internet facilities, prayer rooms and facilities for disabled people. There are few retail shops but there not much of facilities available for the passengers. The Airport is well connected to the world with flights to major cities of the world including New York, London, Dubai, Paris, Rome etc.

Lagos Airport is well connected with the city through shuttle bus, Yellow taxis and Private taxi service, but car hire is considered to be the quickest and safest way of to and fro journeys from the Airport. There are few charges applicable for visitors including the Parking Fee for vehicles and Regional and Domestic Passenger Charges. It is recommended that pre-booking a car should be done to avoid any inconvenience after landing at the Airport. Also you should check in advance after the charging of fare and extras to be included in the final fare for car hire.
